Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

I saw the movie "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"in class of a history of American Literature. This is moving story, so I want everyone to know this.
"Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is known as a work representing the present-day American literature announced by Samuel Clemens, alias Mark Twain. Although this was similarly defined by Hemingway, the American literature writer, it is a work which it is popular, so that it is said that what matches after a writer called the work and Mark Twain "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" does not exist, and everyone does not suspect as the origin of American literature.

This tale makes it the stage around the 1830～1840s before American Civil War. Gym who is the black slave and fled with innocent and young hero Huck mainly goes ahead with talking. Although Huck did not have a mother but it was living with the father of alcoholism, it is dressed, and Huck flees, as he was killed, and meets with a gym. Gym feared the sale to the lower part of a river which becomes a lifelong separation with a family. In Mississippi Valley which travels, they encounter people of various kinds, such as a murderer, a thief, a swindler, and a hypocrite.

Although various themes such as a family and religion are taken up with this work, it is possible that the keyword which is the most open is racial discrimination. The humanity of the gym is accepted by Huck in the theme of the race problem. Gym was classified according to the world as a black person, and had to live on him as unbecoming "slave" as man. However, he is strongly braver than any human being, and generous. Whites other than Huck who appears in a tale gaze by the eye which scorned the black person, are selfish and are drawn cruelly and foolish.

Mark Twain is called a writer of realism and slavery of those days and man's vicious field over it can also see this writing. Therefore, when this writing is published for the first time, the world is not so open, and sensible parents presuppose that this should not be shown to a child and say that he was a dangerous thing. However, it is also understood how this work has taken up the problem of racial discrimination straightly, and whether to overlook the world by the gentle eye without cloudy weather which is Huck.

The Great Gatsby

I saw the movie "The Great Gatsby" in class of a history of American literature, and told that the students hand in the reports after reading the book which was interpret to japanese or English. I read the book in the library of university, so I want to write my thoughts of this book.
In the novel which Scott Fizgerald wrote, "The Great Gatsby," the light of the American society and the portion of a shadow which have boiled in prosperity are projected. The American dream taken up as a theme of this movie is a trend of if there is even gold, and is language like the symbol of the American of those days who fancies passing people who rose to well-off circles, and days which are filled by gold.
The hero Gatsby in this movie is avaricious into gold, if it is for filling a desire, it is a man who does not regret a means, either, and although it is officially the gay world as a view of the world of a movie, if the reverse side is seen, it is man's essence and the bad portion has projected. Although Gatsby was poor at the time of childhood, it attained to build hundreds of wealth by operation of sly grog sale and a stock market. He who is devoted to a party in the palatial residence of a house, and was able to rise to well-off circles at last may just be able to call life those successful every day.

However, he has not forgotten the woman Daisy of a first love. 

It did not obtain, even if only Daisy passed till when to have got used to the multimillionaire whom everyone envies at last. Gatsby might make Daisy his own thing, but it was opposed to the husband Tom of Daisy, and the millionaire is widely different. It becomes desperate, and Daisy is persuaded and regret which is not obtained can see only adhering to Daisy so much, or Daisy, considering the scene which quarrels with Tom. 

If it takes into consideration about the relation of Gatsby and the American dream anew here now, Gatsby can be called regrettable man who was not able to achieve the dream of the American dream. 

While adhering to Daisy, and what it can say that the field in which he does not leave a first love is purehearted, finally it is killed by a gun, and it is shown how the scene which closes the whole life unsatisfying is in a human being with foolish him. With the American dream in Gatsby, although it became a millionaire of course, it would be able to fulfill Daisy by making it one's thing. Probably, Gatsby also changed the future, without having found whether it would be killed or a tale finishing, if she returned to the basis of Gatsby instead of Tom.

After reading, I thought what is the life. It is not just looking forward to the life. I think this story makes us consider well. I don't know what is the life and living, but I want to search a lot of thing living my own life.
