I took three classes at the first day on Monday. I was fun taking especially SpeakingⅢ. Mr. Tomei takes charge of this class. I’m looking forward to speaking classes from now. I want to be good at speak English with foreign people, so I will try and challenge everything in this year.

Dear my host family :)

Hello, my name is Saki! I'm nineteen years old, and a Kumamoto Gakuen University student. I go to there by the car, so I have a car license. I like driving.

Let me introduce myself. I have three younger sisters. We are close very much. Especially middle sister (second sister) and I are like best friends. We can talk about everything. We don't have secrets each other.

I have many foods which I like. They are chicken, spicy food, rice, and so on. But my favorite food is sweets! I love them very much. Something sweet is delicious for me. I love cream puff, chocolate, cookies, and cakes. I often go to Starbucks Coffee, TULLYS, and Mister Donuts, and make desserts with my sisters sometimes in holiday. Also, I have some foods which I dislike the most. It is tomato. I can never eat this. When I was elementary school, I ate it for the first time. I was surprised at the taste. It was disgusting. But I will try them someday and be to be able to eat!

I like listening to music very much. I always do it when I have a free time, go to university, drive a car, and so on. My favorite Japanese artist is Namie Amuro. She is perfect. She is cute, cool, gorgeous, and perfect. Her voice is powerful and beautiful, so her songs make me feel good. Why don’t you listen to her music?

I enjoyed Writing 1 and Writing 2 classes very much. I thought that was very difficult because I belonged A class, but it was wrong. Every time I received lessons, I could learn many things with many people. They were grammar, the skillful way of writing English, culture, history, and so on. Although our homework was not few, I could do them in my pace. The best activity I think was the first class in 2013. We wrote letters to classmates. I was glad to receive them. I would like to improve my English skill more in next year and utilize having learned also in future life. Thanks Mr.Waterman :-)

A long time ago, there was a big kingdom. The king and the queen were very kind, so they were popular and loved from people. The princess of the king and the queen was the same. Everyone in this country lived peacefully. One day the princess suffered from mysterious illness and couldn’t go out from her bed. Her parents asked the doctor who was the best in the country to cure her illness. He tried to do it hardly, but he couldn’t. When people became thinking that they had to give up, a boy appeared. He said to the king and the queen, “I know how to cure her illness. A secret door exists in somewhere in this country, and in it, a magic flower which wishes anything you want is in bloom. So I will find it, and I want the princess to be happy.” So they asked him. But after his having said so and coming out of a castle, he never appeared for months. Everyone worried about him, they looked for him over the country. And a man found him, then, he had fallen in the deeply woods. The magic flower was in her hands! They rescued him, and took him to the castle. And he cured, he gave the flower to her, she became fine! Everyone especially her parents thanked him very much. After passing a number of years, he and she got married and lived fortunately forever.

I think computers and the Internet are very good. Both of them are very useful. If we want to research something, we can use them, research, and know. The Internet has much information all over the world, so we can know everything. But they have some advantages. First, the Internet is not connectable if it is the outside of the circle. And if we face a situation like this, we will be irritated and angry. It can be used anywhere and anytime, so we do not grow familiar with such a situation. And we may get confused. Second, computers are very big and heavy, so it is difficult for us to carry out them. But these days, almost of us have own cellphone called “Smart Phone” which is a kind of computers. We can move with it easily.

I will tell you about how to concentrate on studying. First, clean your room and desk. It is not good to make a big pile of your texts, notes, papers, and so on. We need to secure enough space to put opened them. Next, let fresh air into the room. Too warm is not good, too cold is also not good. I think cold air a little bit is exactly better. After that, please sit chair in front of the desk, and grasp a mechanical pencil. Also, I have something to tell you. First, you must good posture. If your eyes are close to the desk, they will be very tired. Bad posture is bad for our health. Second, you had better eat some foods a little bit before you try to study. If you are hungry, you can’t concentrate on it. But if you are full, you will be sleepy. That is all! I always do them when I study before I have tests. I recommend this way.
