Essay 6 : The First Episode of a Foreign TV Drama

Today, I would like to introduce my favorite TV drama. It is “Prison Break.” This is made in the U.S., and broadcasted by television in the world. This is a suspense story, but it makes people excited. It is played a leading part by Wentworth Miller.

 I want to tell you the main character performed by him. His name is Michael Scofield, and he works as a qualified architect who is highly intelligent. Michael has the courage to do everything.

Next, I will introduce the story more. It is broken up in the prison. Michael’s brother, Lincoln, was arrested because of the guilt that shot the brother of the Vice President, so he was committed to prison. Lincoln received an advice of the death penalty after a month, and Michael decided to help him and want him to escape from there. A Michael’s friend took part in the reconstruction of prison which took in his older brother. To learn a course of a whole prison, Michael tattooed the general drawing of the prison. When all other plans are set, Michael attacked the bank, and he is caught by the police on purpose to be committed to the same prison that his brother is in. A lawyer, Veronica who is a lover of the older brother is going to defend Michael, but Michael refused and urged the trial to be committed to the same prison with his brother without a stay of execution. After the confinement, he gets along well with Fernando who is imprisoned in the same room with him immediately, and received the explanation of various people of consequence in the prison. However, Michael researched person who is necessary for his plan of a jailbreak since before he was imprisoned. At first, Michael approaches Abruzzi who is absolutely necessary for a jailbreak. He is the existence like a boss in the prison, and he was a mafia before the confinement. Michael knows that he is so dangerous, but he approaches for a step of a jailbreak.
I knew this drama when I was a high school student. I like watching DVD from way back, but I had never known “Prison Break.” After watching this, I became a fan immediately. Of course the story is so exciting, and the main character, Michael Scofield is a dauntless man. I think the main points are how the plan is and Michael tries to break a prison, and human relations in the prison. I recommend this drama.

Toshi belong to a soccer club, and he wants to be good at playing soccer like Ronaldo Christiano. He makes an effort everyday to win the next match. Also, Emi takes lessons in ballet. She likes a ballet very much. They are mischievous children, so I am tired of taking care of them. But I love them very much, so I always laugh and will never bored everyday.

Also, we have a dog. Her name is Anna, and the kinf of her is Chihuahua. She has a long hair. She is very cute! When I came home, she plunges to me like waiting my returing home. My hobby is walking her when it is sunny.

him, went to his house and saw them, choose one dog, and took her back to my house.

and it is soft. Her hair color is black, brown, and white. Also, she has a mustache. It
looks like the mustache of an old man, and I feel it is so cute!

is quiet and calm. It is easy to study and do my homework there for me.
According to what I said, I only did 12 book reviews because I didn’t have any time.

However, I like reading books so much. My favorite book in English garden was
'The Little Mermaid.' I think it is fun for the students who like to read books to do

Also, I think it is important to start your own homework early and do them
completely. If we postpone and start slowly, we will be so busy later! So I
recommend starting early and taking the class if you want to feel good about taking

We often eat out after working, and go to karaoke with members. In fact, since I started this work, there was nobody who is acquaintance with me. So I was very nervous, but I was helped much.

Essay 2-01b : How I think about language

I have studied three languages. I studied Japanese, English, and Spanish. In addition, I learned Chinese, Korean, and Italy less than them. I am from Kumamoto, in Japan, so my mother tongue is Japanese. When I was four years old, I could read katakana andhiragana better than others a little bit. I heard that I could speak many words when I was a child.

I have studying English about 8 years. I studied it for the first time when I was seventh grade in junior high school. I liked foreign things very much, so I wanted to study more. I was happy to know about English and its detail. The teacher was very kind, so he taught me friendly and I could understand well. My favorite subject is English even now.

I like foreign things, so I often see the Western drama, TV, and movies, listen to the Western music, read overseas fashion and gossip magazines. Of course, they are written in English. I try to read it fluently, but it is not easy for me. I heard from my high school’s teacher, and she said the best way to be good at English which you can daily is listening to the Western music. I still do it in everyday life according to the instruction.

In this university, if you are a student of foreign language depart, you should choose the second language and study it. When I was a freshman, I selected Spanish. The reason why I choose this is I wanted to travel to Spain. Spanish is not difficult for me. Although spelling is good, grammar is difficult. So I was worried about understanding this. But I repeated studying, I became better more and more. The teacher was very kind, so I could understand well. After studying, I taught my friends. 

I like studying languages. I study them, and I can study not only language but also its history, culture, and atmosphere. I take Introduction to Linguistics class, but I learned many things about Japanese even I am Japanese. Japanese has how to read, grammar, pronunciation, idiom, and so on. Even if my tongue is Japanese, I think it is very interesting. I want to know more.

Like I said in the beginning, I have learned Chinese, Korean, and Italy a little bit. When I went to experience entrance of some university, there are trial lessons, so I could take those classes. In Chinese class, I told how to write my name in Chinese from the teacher. I was very happy to know that. The languages which I don’t know are around the world, so I want to know those.

I want to live and work in overseas in the future. English is common language in the world, so I want to be good at English. I must read fluently, speak like natives, understand better than now. In addition, I want to travel around the world! I want to make a lot of friends, but I don’t enough courage and I am shy. I want to be friend with an exchange student. I will be an English master.

I heard that I could speak many words when I was a child.

I have studying English about 8 years. I studied it for the first time when I was seventh grade in junior high school. I liked foreign things very much, so I wanted to study more. I was happy to know about English and its detail. The teacher was very kind, so he taught me friendly and I could understand well. My favorite subject is English even now.

I like foreign things, so I often see the Western drama, TV, and movies, listen to the Western music, read overseas fashion and gossip magazines. Of course, they are written in English. I try to read it fluently, but it is not easy for me. I heard from my high school’s teacher, and she said the best way to be good at English which you can daily is listening to the Western music. I still do it in everyday life according to the instruction.

In this university, if you are a student of foreign language depart, you should choose the second language and study it. When I was a freshman, I selected Spanish. The reason why I choose this is I wanted to travel to Spain. Spanish is not difficult for me. Although spelling is good, grammar is difficult. So I was worried about understanding this. But I repeated studying, I became better more and more.

I like studying languages. I study them, and I can study not only language but also its history, culture, and atmosphere. I take Introduction to Linguistics class, but I learned many things about Japanese even I am Japanese. Japanese has how to read, grammar, pronunciation, idiom, and so on. Even if my tongue is Japanese, I think it is very interesting.

Like I said in the beginning, I have learned Chinese, Korean, and Italy a little bit. When I went to experience entrance of some university, there are trial lessons, so I could take those classes. In Chinese class, I told how to write my name in Chinese from the teacher. I was very happy to know that. The languages which I don’t know are around the world, so I want to know those.

I want to live and work in overseas in the future. English is common language in the world, so I want to be good at English. I must read fluently, speak like natives, understand better than now. In addition, I want to travel around the world! I want to make a lot of friends, but I don’t enough courage and I am shy. I want to be friend with an exchange student. I will be an English master.

Essays 1-03a: Robin Hood

This essay is writing about some film versions of Robin Hood. It includes three film versions of Robin Hood. Please read this essay. Surely, you will want to watch these movies of Robin Hood. First, it is a Disney version's movie of Robin Hood. This movie was produced by Reitherman Wolfgang and recounts the traditional stories of Robin Hood. Because it is one of the works of Disney, story is clear and it is made comical. Characters are very cute and amusing, so it will attract people. Also music is very important point in this movie. It seems fun even if a scene of battle.

There is a bad king, Prince John in Nottingham. He is a very greedy, selfish and childish. He had imposed a heavy tax on people. Because of that people were poor and have to spend a hard life. To save such a people, Robin Hood who is good at bow and arrow and Little John who is best friend of Robin Hood steal gold from Prince John and give poor people. The villagers believed that the happiness visit to the village someday. They cooperate each other and fight bad king. Eventually villagers win and regaind a happy life. By the way Robin Hood has fell in love with Maid Marian. He fears that his outlaw status means that he couldn’t pursue a relation with Maid Marian. But actually they love each other. After that village was in peace, Robin and Marian got married and they also lived happy.

Combination of Robin Hood and Little John was outstanding. Although they were a criminal for Prince John, people really appreciate them. Robin Hood and Little John hope well- being and peace of the villagers. Also villagers survived helping each other. This story tells us how important to cooperate each other and too much strong desire lead to grief for people.

Second, it is a Tom and Jerry version's movie. Tom and Jerry is an animation series, it is very popular in all over the world. Tom and Jerry is a series of theatrical animal-cartoon series films created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), this series has a lot of interesting movies. This movie is one of them. MGM company is not Disney company, this company was made to be opposed to the Disney company. This movie distributed by Warner Home Video (2012). It was released United States and Japan. 

This movie's story is based on Tom and Jerry animation series (created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera). A story of this movie is that happens a fight between a cat (Tom) and a mouse (Jerry) whose chases include slapstick comedy. It is same with this movie. This movie's title is Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse. In this movie, main character is not Robin Hood, it is Tom and Jerry.

This movie's plot begins with Robin Hood being pursued by the Sheriff of Notthingham. On the other hand, Jerry being chased by Tom. Robin Hood is good man for almost people, but he is a bother for Prince John. And Kind Richard is a bother for Prince John too. Prince John is bad person, because he misappropriated tax of people. Prince John make a plan to remove them. However Tom and Jerry add to the plan, they try to help for Robin Hood and Kind Richard.

Tom and Jerry often have a fight when they met somewhere, they are not get along to each other for a long time. Tom is not kind for Jerry in the almost animation series, but Tom is kind in this movie. They can became a friend for Robin Hood in this movie. Also there are a lot of unique character in this movie. For example, Robin Hood and Marian, Prince John, Little John, and Kind Richard. Robin Hood and Marian are second main character. The scene that they are appearing is love interest for this movie. You should watch this scene! If you watched this movie, you would feel happy. You can laugh more, and you will have a goot time surely.

Third, it is the other version of Robin Hood which was produced by Ridley Scott. The back ground is war between France and England. There was Robin Hood in England army. They go to war many times and take many France’s positions by force. The king of England asked him a question; what do you think about me. Then Robin Hood answered that I think these war don’t have meaning and the sacrificed people don’t reply. This is why the king got angry and he was refused. After that, the king was killed by French soldier. The next king was selected his younger brother.

He was not clever and was very lazy man. He was always be with women and ate good foods. To give the new king a crown, Robin Hood went to England, but he was attacked unknown group. When he got to England, he saw unbelievable; there was the unknown group. Actually, the new king allied with the group. He thought why the group tried to kill me, but he didn’t understand the meaning. Few days passed, tax become higher than before.

Complain about the stupid king was increased. Robin Hood visit a village where has many problems which is there were no seed. It causes the not paying tax. Then Robin Hood got married a woman whose father is a landowner. Then he talked the king about decreasing tax. Surprised at his power and backing, he cannot deny it. At that time, the king knew that group get touch with France and they are coming to England. Soon later, he went to the beach where the France came, and fight with them. After won the war, the king denied Robin Hood’s asking. After all, Robin Hood was treated as outlaw man.

 

 

Robin Hood is very good at a bow and arrow. He was famous of good user of them. He doesn’t miss it, so he use it almost every war. When he kills enemies, he kills them by using only an arrow. Moreover, he was strong, kind, clever, honest, and very smart man. There are nothing about complains about him. So, the king and men who has power hate him. They put eyes on him to prevent from what he does. Finally, the king and Robin Hood get together and they fight with France. It looks like good relation, but actually, the king still hates him, so the king tried to kill him. However there wasn’t him in his town. So he was gone after him.

 

 

This Robin Hood’s back ground is invasion for east. So it is the war of England and France. England was very strong, so they go a lot of France’s territory and got them. There were full of dead bodies. There were so many people who have doubt for the war and the king, but no one tell it because the king was very tyrant. There was no way of abolish this situation. But there was a man named Robin Hood who was honest, strong, and clever. He changed the world and thinking which people who has power has.

These movies are very interesting and wonderful. All films are famous in all over the world, and Robin Hood is famous too. Robin Hood is not real person, and story of these movies is fiction story. It includes real things in each movie. It never leaves for daily life, and it has a lot of dreams. However all film’s story is little difficult.

Epecially, Robin Hood that created by Ridley Scott is difficult to Disney version and Tom and Jerry version. A role of Robin Hood is changing by each movie. On the other hand, these movies have real things. For example, Robin Hood opposed to King (John), he married with Marian, and so on. If you watched these movies, you try to watch it while find to difficult point and same point. Please watch these movies someday!

The university students have examinations at each class, lecture, and semester. They take different classes every day, so they should take many examinations. It is very hard to study for a lot of time before the season. It asks their academic ability to them, so they challenge and do their best. In addition, students in English department must take TOEIC and TOEFL. They are important for people who study and speak English, want to go abroad, and talk with people around the world. Students want to study hard each year, and try to everything they must do and want to do. Maybe every student in English department has ever heard that the second grade is very hard from friends. They are full of having my homework, reports, and study for exam. Honestly, they become so tired because of them. Sometimes they don’t want to do anything, but decided to do my best if they think they were beneficial to me in the future.. they think they will be a human who can do everything easily after that.

Classes are important for students to study and stay as a student. Every day they have different classes. Sometimes they were made to take hand in reports by teachers of each class. If they don’t do that, their evaluation will be bad a little bit. Also, they take them with their classmates. All the students are divided into some groups, and they try to do something hard, spend a university life and another holiday with their friends.　Classmates, what is called friends are important, and maybe will be an irreplaceable existence.

Maybe almost of the students belong to club in university. The clubs of Kumamoto Gakuen University are mainly classified into five, each of them are Student council, Gymnastics committee, Cultural committee, Circle union, Gakusyo society. Almost of them do their activities on Wednesday every week. For example, they are sports, home party, eating out, and so on.  A reception for new students and a new student welcome picnic are held in a spring term, and Takumasai, a parade in the city, reelection and an officer party  are held in an autumn term.  Students are enjoying each event  for every season. Also, friends are very kind to everyone, so students will be happy to belong to their club and know friends.

If it passes with friends every day, naturally friendship will be made. Friends who spend every time and everyday can be called best friends. Others are important existences even if there are different. That’s why students should help each other. Class members and club members are important, too. Spending alone for a lot of time is wasteful. Life is concerning with another people, so students should not be alone and make friendships.

Lunch time is very important time for students.  Everyday students go to school. And almost student is very tired.  Everyone attends a lecture. And everyone has a lot of  homework.  2nd  year’s student has a lot of homework. So lunch time is relax time for them. K.G.U has a students’ dining hall. here is very big dining hall. They always relax and eat lunch here. Other student bring a lunch box. Their parent made foe them every morning. Little people make for themselves every morning. They eat that with friends. And they enjoy lunch time.

Students does many things at after school. Alot of students go to the part time jobs after school.They needs a lot of money. So part time job is very important for them to earn money. But part time job is very busy foe them. They have a lot of homework and a lot of things they have to do. Thy have no time. But they have to go part time job to earn maoney for school.

Almost  students join to clubs. Not only sports club. K.G.U has a lot of clubs. They enjoy their own club activities. Clubs to do a lot of kind club activity. They enjoy that. And they are able to make many friends. All student has alot of homework. They has to do that. Homework is take a lot of time. So student has to do very hard.

Student is coming to the school by various means. By bike, bus and other traffic vehicle. And they take a lot of time. One of people come to school alone. But other people come to school with friends. That time is poor for alone people. But other people enjoy this time. Talk with anything and eat something with friends. It is relax time for them too.  

Students have many different kinds of goals. For example someone who want to be a teacher. Everyone has goals. Near-term goals is about study. For example TOEIC and TOEFL are one of near-term goals. TOEIC and TOEFL score is very important for them. Students have many kind of mid-term goals too. They have something to finish while college student. And they study hard for that. So long-term goals is very important. Reason why students come to school is anything. But every students have a dream. Every student wants to dream come true.

Hello, my name is Saki! I'm nineteen years old, and a Kumamoto Gakuen University student. I go to there by the car, so I have a car license. I like driving.

Let me introduce myself. I have three younger sisters. We are close very much. Especially middle sister (second sister) and I are like best friends. We can talk about everything. We don't have secrets each other.

I have many foods which I like. They are chicken, spicy food, rice, and so on. But my favorite food is sweets! I love them very much. Something sweet is delicious for me. I love cream puff, chocolate, cookies, and cakes. I often go to Starbucks Coffee, TULLYS, and Mister Donuts, and make desserts with my sisters sometimes in holiday. Also, I have some foods which I dislike the most. It is tomato. I can never eat this. When I was elementary school, I ate it for the first time. I was surprised at the taste. It was disgusting. But I will try them someday and be to be able to eat!

I like listening to music very much. I always do it when I have a free time, go to university, drive a car, and so on. My favorite Japanese artist is Namie Amuro. She is perfect. She is cute, cool, gorgeous, and perfect. Her voice is powerful and beautiful, so her songs make me feel good. Why don’t you listen to her music?
