Br 1-14 : The Story of Trains

Today, rail tracks cover most of the world, yet only two hundred years ago, they did not exist. Every day trains take people to work and on holiday. They can carry cars, crates or crocodiles and travel under the sea. This book tells the incredible story of trains and how it all began with a small engine and a wagon full of people.
I use train some times, and think how useful way to carry every thing this is. At first time, train was smaller than now. Reading this book, I could know how train are made, used, and handed down to modern times.

Chocolate is drunk for a long long time, I knew that, I felt historical. I like chocolate cakes very much, and I want to have GODIVA someday!

I understood, in the ancient world, people often wear bronze helmet, leg guards, shield, and breastplate. It looks gorgeous. Also in Middle Ages, especially Europe like Rome, German, and Paris wear clothes look heavy and gorgeous. And I was surprised to know that little boy wear a lacy ruff, a dress, an apron, a bib and a cap like little girl and in France man wore a long, curly wig.

I did't know a detail of this story, so I wanted to read "Romeo and Juliet" so much. This story is romance and love story. Romeo and Juliet fall in love, but their families are bitter enemies. It was in medieval Verona, a place of sword fights, secrets and magic potions. Their tragic love story plays out to a desperate end. I think how sad this story is. He is old wizard, so  he doesn't use magic anymore. He looked after children, and he was respected by them. They wanted to use magic, so learned by him. One day, a robber tried to make an invasion, but the wizard stopped him with his magic. Finally, they held a Christmas party with everyone. It looks happy.

"You have shown us that kindness is what Christmas is all about." (p.47)

I was interested in this book when I looked it, and I selected this book because I had believed Santa Clause very much when I was a child.
In chapter 1, it was written that December is always a busy time of a year at the North Pole, and I think so, too. It is full of Santa on Christmas day in the world! However, they are your father or your mother maybe.
I was given a lot of presents every year when I was a child until I was a junior high school student. They were toys, furniture, and so on. I have not given even now, but I think I want to give my child if I would have my family in the future.

The World according to Garp

I took the class of the history of American Literature, and the students were said you should hand in the report about ." This work is so exciting, so let me introduce this.

"The World According to Garp" is John Irving's 4th novel and a large best seller over several years in the United States which made Irving the popular person suddenly and also made it the core profit center of the novelist of the present age United States. A main character is Garp and he is writer who is the masterpiece of drawing the lifetime filled of ups and downs after he is born until it dies, and making a family's love and the meaning of living thinking.

Although a mother Jennie of hero Garp was working as a nurse, it is the human being along whom it was strong and the back passed, and hardly understood humor. It is unexpected that the person witty like Garp was born from such a mother that it is serious and strait-laced person.

This work was drawing the lifetime after Garp is produced until it dies, but it was just continuation of the stormy world, an accident and an incident, a misfortune, and a hard thing. Being protected by a family's love, Garp overcame those distress, but it was positively useful, and  performed it. It is people's lifetime, and probably there is no misfortune like that.

We can understand whether the existence of a family was important for Garp. Jennie's existence will be recognized that there is especially nothing, and it can tell about this tale, and probably there is no coconut.

Reading this book, I thought the importance of existence of my family. I can live my life thanks to my father, my mother, my sisters, my pet, and my grandfather and grandmother. I want to thank them after reading this story. This story tells us the important thing. I want to live strongly like Garp. I recommend this book to everyone.

BR 2-15 : Wizards

"Tricks, indeed. Stuff and nonsense." - Mervin the Miser (p.11)

Long years ago, a lots of people believed in wizards. They thought there were good ones who helped people, and bad ones who cast evil spells. This book was consisted of three chapters of three wizards. These are the stories of Zag, Mott and Pinchbeck who were all kind wizards in their own way.
Especially, I like the story of Zag. He was a wonderful wizard, and he was kind because he looked after children who had no where else to live. One day, they did not have any money left, so he taught them his magic and trick. He thought that they can make more money by that. On chiristmas, children said no presents, no turkey... but Zag was not going to do any thing. But children had his laughing powder, so they could be made to be happy! They could spend Chiristmas day happily.
Reading this book, I want to be kind to people.

BR 2-14 : Jack and the Beanstalk

"With a hen that laid gold eggs and a beautiful singing harp, Jack and his mother lived very happily." (p.47)

Jack & the Beanstalk (Young Reading Level 1)

One day, a boy Jack searched the house for something to eat, because he was very hungry. There was a cow in his house named Milky White, so he and his mother decided to go to market and take him to sell. They met an old man, and he wanted to buy the cow for five dried beans. That was magic beans, he said. He woke up the next morning, there were strange things. He looked closer and saw a massive plant, reaching up to the sky. Like that, he and his mother made their dreams come true.
If I can make dreams come true, I want to be smart, have long and beautiful hair, become a rich man, become fashionable, and spend happy life.

BR 2-13 : Stories of Dinosaurs

Stories of Dinosaurs (Usborne Young Reading)
"Well done, Reg." - Kevin (p.18)

The reason why I choose this book was that I thought that I wanted to know and understand about dinosaurs. In this story, they lives their own lives like humanbeing. Some dinosaurs go to the gym to forge their bodies, and to win the games. Also, others open their new restaurant. They offer 'Pteranodon Pate,' 'Saltopus sausages,' 'Tyrannosaurus tart,' and so on.
The main characters are the Rapton brothers, and they get along well having difficulties with a lot of things.
Reading this book, I thought that the dinosaurs have their feelings like humanbeing. I do not know how big they are, but I can imagine a little bit. I want to see the dinosaurs with my eye.

BR 2-12 : The Story of Castle

“The jester told stories and everyone laughed and sang well into the night.”
“What I need is a castle!” said a lord one day. He needed somewhere safe for his knights to live. He said we should build by a river to have water, near trees to have wood, and we’d better add an extra strong fort, just in case we have to retreat. So he decided to put the fort on a hill, and he built the very first one. It was made by wood. His idea spread soon, but there are some questions. What was it like to live in one? Why did people need castles, and castles go out of fashion?
You will see the facts and answers reading this book. This book tells us fabulous story.
